About Dick Cichanowicz

Senior business executive Dick Cichanowicz graduated in 1984 from Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. Then he completed a Master of Science in Industrial Management and MIS the following year while attending the same college, located in Potsdam, New York. Later, Cichanowicz enrolled in a two-semester course in executive leadership at Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown University where he earned certification in strategic business leadership.

Upon receiving his Master’s,  Mr. Cichanowicz accepted a job with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a Staff Consultant. Throughout his four years with the company, he served as the prominent designer of various applications and databases. He managed a team of 100 contractors and other employees while overseeing a project for MCI Corporation. After finalizing this assignment, Mr. Cichanowicz took on permanent employment with MCI as a Manager and performed similar work functions in his three-year tenure. In 1992, he changed to a position with American Mobile Satellite Corporation, working as a Senior Manager, continuing in the field of telecommunications. However, following a four-year term with the company, Dick returned to MCI as an Executive Manager.

In 1998, Mr. Cichanowicz accepted the role of Vice President with Nextel Communications.. Across a span of 7 years, he oversaw many high-profile projects, such as the management of 6,000 workers within the Finance Department of both Nextel and Sprint as the two corporations underwent a merger. Cichanowicz was also successful in guiding the company toward a $300 million remodeling of Nextel’s Customer Life Cycle program. He then spent a year as Senior Vice President, overseeing business integration for the Capital One Financial Corp.

Today, Dick Cichanowicz works as an executive consultant and President for 5CHES Corp. In this capacity, he performs management services for a number of first-rate companies on a project-to-project basis.
